Noni juice to help combat stress
What is stress?
We use the word all the time, stress. But what does it actually mean? Stress is whenever you put yourself under any pressure, be that emotional, physical or mental.
So let’s imagine what happens in your body when something stressful happens, that moment when you realise you forgot to pay a bill, the boss hands you a project that you don’t know if you can complete, or you have to stand up in front of a crowd, whatever makes you feel under pressure.
Your brain is wired to survive the plains of Africa or the forests where we evolved into being human, and not to work out that this stress is just because you can’t find your keys in the morning. So it prepares your body to either fight an attacker, or run away from a predator. Hormones flood your system, your body shuts down all none essential systems and starts trying to get energy to muscles. You heart will start pounding, and preparing you for hard work you start to sweat to help you cool down. This is great, and in small amounts is even healthy, except in today’s society there are points of stress every time we turn round. Your body is constantly preparing you for that fight, but there isn’t an end in sight.
Being wound up all the time it means that your body will be producing harmful waste products all the time. Now whilst your body has ways to deal with this in the long term, in the short and stressed term it may not be as simple.
What can you do to help your body heal?
As well as reducing stress we need to have a healthy diet and lifestyle to help our bodies. Exercise can help tell your body that the source of stress is over. Eating healthy foods will replenish the nutrients that stress takes out.
One of the key things to help us fight the damage that stress can cause to our bodies are antioxidants, as well as other key vitamins and minerals that help keep us healthy and prevent damage. Some of the ingredients in Noni juice may help prevent heart disease, certain types of cancer and even help reduce pain. Packed full of antioxidants Noni juice can prevent the damage that the chemical reactions in your body can cause.
Noni juice comes from the Morinda citrifolia tree, a plant that grows across the Pacific. The Polynesians that carried the plant with them as they journeyed from island to island used Noni Juice for a huge range of conditions, from skin conditions and injuries through to conditions effecting the brain, to prevent cancers, to help weight loss, and as a food in cases of starvation.
For over 2000 years the Noni plant has been one of the main sources of traditional medicine for the Polynesians, now it is grown and the juice bottled so that everyone the world over can enjoy the benefits of this little fruit that packs a punch. But not all Noni juice is equal, often it is mixed with other juices, which may reduce the efficiency of the juice, other juices are made from the freeze dried fruit, or from concentrates. When choosing Noni juice it’s best to look for 100% pure Noni juice.
